Walking Baby

Heidi is officially taking steps on her own! She is 8 1/2 months old and is now braving it alone and will leave objects on her own. (like holding onto chair to go somewhere else) Sometimes a little TOO brave.

She has gotten drastically better day by day and now enjoys cruisin furniture and getting around holding my finger with one hand so her other hand can grab whatever she wants to explore.

Heidi is super cute when she walks because she gets super excited and proud of herself. She isnt the best walking to me as a target because she gets SO excited that she goes too fast and falls over.

People comment when they see her walking that it looks weird because she is SO SMALL but so agile. They also apologize like walking is a bad thing.....I beg to differ.  I LOVE when my kids start walking. Creates more independence and overall happier baby.

My mini matt is super yummy and I love her to pieces.

Bluebonnets are out! Today before church we took the girls out and snapped a few shots of them in the Texas state flower!

Rodeo Y'all

On Tuesday we went to the Rodeo in the morning as a family with my mom and dad.  I checked the weather report and it was suppose to be a BEAUTIFUL day! And it sure was!

I have lived here all my life and only been to 2 concerts.  The Rodeo is soooo much more than the performances.  It was a lot of fun to go during the day and watch the mutton bustin' (my personal fav) then the petting zoo packed with goats, pot belly pigs, many that it was a little scary cause they would nibble at your clothing and get right in your face and beg like dogs for food.  We also witness a baby lamb being born! they put it live on the jumbo screen.  They had pins where mommy pigs were nursing their 14 or so piglets.  the piglets wag their tails in excitement like dogs.  SO CUTE!

i kept asking gracie if she wanted to ride the sheep....she said "when i get bigger mommy"

They also had transitional displays of the life cycle of chicks.. they had eggs in a incubator and they would periodically be hatching (pretty neat) then go onto a incubator with lots of baby chicks then onto the adult chickens.

the crew. waiting for our shuttle grateful for mom and dad willing to come and help and have fun!

Also had honeybees, turkeys, sloth, porcupine and large sulcatta tortoise.  There was probably SO MUCH MORE but girls were getting tired and Matt needed to go into work.
